Bring on the election...

Can you believe that it is already November? Is everyone ready to vote tomorrow?!!! I think that these are really scary times...if you don't keep your eyes on the Lord, it's easy to feel like drift wood. So much talk about health care, gas, drilling, economy, taxes, etc... Did I mention that we found a church we like? We did...and in the first message we heard him give, he spoke a little on this very subject. He was trying to bring comfort and truth to his congregation, and it was just what I needed to hear. I was having so many fears! If Obama wins, we are two steps away from becoming a socialist country, running hard and fast towards a global economy. If McCain wins, we may delay the process a little (4 yrs and two steps...unless he proves phenominal, I doubt he'd get realected), but the end is inevitable. Revelation tells us so. A one world government is clearly not that far off... every generation, since the times of the apostles, expected the Lord to return during their life times, and even now I hear it from my parents all of the time. Now or later, the time is drawing near. I have so many tangents I could go off on concerning this subject, but back to our pastor... In a nut shell, it is not the government who provides for us. We do not depend upon them for the health and well being of our family, though we get so caught up in politics that we end up thinking that way. Who does, then? The Lord does! Matthew 6:19-34 Do we trust Him to take care of us? I guess I've been thinking of this sort of thing a lot lately...and thank you for your comment, Molly...I'm not the only one. In short, even though our time on this earth may be brief (or long), remember the One who, not only cares for us, but sees every one our needs and provides for them. Also be smart about your decisions...no reason to rush in the end of the world just because it's inevitable...vote Palin; I mean McCain :-) Oh Lord, help us!

exactly!
it totally seems that the country is hoping for the next president to "save" us and it is not where christians shoudl ahve our hope. i am thankful that no matter who wins, ultimately God is in control and we have our future in his hands.
